Mixology Mock Knit Infinity Cowl

Here's the next pattern in our new Red Heart's Mixology Yarn line!  If you purchased the 6 skeins in any Mixology color way for our last pattern; the "Mixology Mock Knit Cuffs" then you will be working off those same balls throughout this series.  (Note: If you missed the mock cuffs pattern, check it out HERE.)
You should have JUST enough to make all the pieces in the line.  The BEST part is that Mixology's color schemes are made to blend so effortlessly and perfectly!!  The "Retro" color scheme is my absolute favorite!  With just one skein from each color in the scheme, you can make an entire ensemble!  With our eBook you can turn those 6 skeins into A short cowl, a chunky infinity scarf, and a thinner one, a pair of boot cuffs, and an ear warmer and STILL have a little to spare!  You can get all the patterns FREE here on my blog.  We will be posting a new pattern every 3 days until we release the eBook next week!  So check back often!

Read on in this post for the attached Mixology Mock Knit Infinity Cowl Pattern.  Pin it for later HERE, or add it to your Ravelry Favorites HERE.

Round 1: Join to back ridge of first CH to form a circle, be careful not to twist the chain.  Here is a link for a great technique to keep from twisting your chain: http://www.thelavenderchair.com/crochet-tutorial-how-to-join-a-long-series-of-chains/ , CH 1 with Starting loop of Colors C & D SC around in the back ridge of the starting chain,(Note: The back ridge is the hump located on the back of the single crochet)join to back ridge of 1st SC with starting loop of Colors E & F <50 ST>
Round 2: CH 1, SL ST around in the back ridge of Round 1.  Finish off.  Use a metal yarn needle to weave ends THROUGH strands of yarn.  This is crocheted loosely, if you don't actually weave you ends through the yarn they will work out easily.  I also use my Button Tab to hide anything that showed from my join.

For one color begin with 2 strands of the same color:

Button Tab - With one strand Mixology and N/10MM hook

Row 1: CH 13, SC in back ridge of 2nd CH from hook and in each back ridge across.  (Note: We are working into the back ridge in order to give ourselves a clean edge to work into later.) <12 ST>
Row 2: CH 1, turn, SC 12 <12 ST>
Begin edging:
CH 1, turn corner and SC 3 in between rows, turn corner, SC across, turn corner, SC 3 in-between rows, turn corner, SC across, Finish Off.  Join to 1st SC using invisible join:
There is an excellent tutorial on the invisible join available by Dearest Debi at:

Attach one button to the end of the flap, turn the tab over and attach a button to the other end.  Now you have a reversible tab.  Loop your scarf however you desire and secure the button tab to hold it in place.  Mix and match for endless combinations!
